    Surface Design Technologies Pvt Ltd. 3D scanning captures geometrical data with the fidelity required for efficient and accurate mold making, reverse engineering, and other industrial applications. In addition, the 3D scan data may be modified and scaled to accommodate a wide range of marketing and manufacturing requirements. 3D scan data from production parts may be compared to their original CAD designs, ensuring that critical tolerances and quality standards are met. When adequate design documentation is unavailable, entire parts may be directly re-engineered from our 3D data sets.

OFFSHORE PLATFORM SCANNING AND AS BUILT MODELING

CLIENTS: FPSO OFFSHORE OIL WELL HEAD PLATFORM

 Project Description: FPSO ship was looking for replacement of some major equipment , pipings and support structures. Requirement is to record the precise data of existing layout, equipments, surrounding rack structures, Engine room and compressor etc. Objective was to create “ AS BUILT 3D INTELLEGENT MODEL” and ISOMETRIC PIPING DRAWINGS.

Surface Design Technologies provided best and most precise solutions as per customer requirement is to digitize the entire layout, then created 3D model and 2D drawing to analyze and keep the record for maintenance and re-design for new equipment installations.

3D model and 2D drawings generated were useful for the customer to maintain the record of the exisiting platform and use this data for checking of the manufactured equipment done on site. Manufactured equipment on site was scanned and the 3d data of the new equipment was inserted in the exisiting scanned layout. Any obstructions or changes required were informed to the fabrication team. This excercise gave the customer confidence of the new equipment design and onsite installation time and efforts were saved significantly.
